A Lifetime of Blessings Tea Ceremony - Record of Tea Ceremony Activities at Taichung Broadcasting Station
The cicadas are chirping in the sweltering summer heat. There seems to be some lively event at the broadcasting station. It turns out to be a tea ceremony at Yuan Rong . Let's go and take a look!
In this bustling city, stepping into the quaint and historic Taichung Broadcasting Station building, the aroma of tea wafts through the air, while the gentle strains of a cello playing "Rainy Night Flower" evoke a sense of time flowing back to the simple, unpretentious era of Japanese rule. A nostalgic atmosphere, a golden age. A red carpet leads attendees through the corridors and halls, creating a stylish, star-studded atmosphere, blending the old with the new, showcasing a novel and elegant style. Refreshing cold-brewed red tea is served to every guest; Melody Lin, a cellist based in the UK, plays Taiwanese folk songs, her rich, warm, and gentle notes stirring up deep emotions within the audience.
A professional tea master demonstrates the entire process of the standard tea brewing ritual: "warming, placing, pouring, and serving." From warming the teapot and gently rinsing the tea leaves to placing the tea, pouring water, and serving the tea, the tea master's demeanor, expressions, gestures, and movements are a solemn performance. This quiet prelude to tea tasting allows for interaction with the tea master and a dialogue with the tea, enabling the mind to calm down and focus on the five senses. Following the tea master's actions and explanations, one gains a deeper understanding and appreciation of tea brewing. The tea master elegantly and rhythmically brews a pot of fine tea, its mellow and full-bodied aroma and flavor showcasing Yuan Rong Tang's warmth and sincerity, allowing one to experience the unique charm of Yuan Rong Tang's tea ceremony.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Wang Hongji graced the event with his presence, and Yuan Rong Hall presented each guest with his oil painting collection, "The Beauty of Kaohsiung." Professor Wang vividly and exquisitely depicts Kaohsiung's historical and cultural architecture, unique landmarks, and natural environment. Enjoying the aroma of tea in a tranquil and elegant atmosphere, guests could connect through tea ceremonies, exchanging ideas about tea culture and appreciating its beauty. The artistry of the tea ceremony, blending the fragrance of tea, books, and music, enhanced the poetic and picturesque aspects of life.
