Tea Travel – Chongqing Zhongshuge
Renowned as one of the world's most beautiful bookstores, Zhongshuge was designed by young Chinese female designer Li Xiang. The newly opened Chongqing Zhongshuge in 2019 exudes a magical, Holworth-esque feel, cleverly using mirror reflections to create an infinitely extending space, interweaving the real and the illusory visual spaces. The library houses approximately 80,000 to 100,000 books, with different reading areas each designed to complement their respective themes. The staggered "lampshade bookshelves" in the lobby resemble small mountains, echoing the beautiful imagery of Chongqing as a city of mountains and rivers.
