Tea and the Solar Terms

Tea Talk on the Solar Terms - Cold Dew

In the ninth month, the dew is cold and about to freeze.
At this time, the temperature is lower than during "White Dew," and there is more dew. The originally white and crystal-clear dew on the ground is about to condense into frost, and the cold is even stronger, hence the name.
The Cold Dew solar term also signifies the arrival of late autumn.

As autumn deepens, a cup of hot tea in one's leisure time warms both the hands and the heart.
Different teas have different effects. During the Cold Dew season, the recommended teas to drink include:

1. Black tea: It is mild in nature and rich in protein and sugar. It helps promote blood circulation, warms the body, and relieves fatigue.
2. Aged Pu-erh tea: It is mild in nature and has a mellow taste. It can warm the body and nourish the stomach.

For dietary health, a gentle and moisturizing approach is recommended. Depending on individual circumstances, it is advisable to consume more sweet and bland, moisturizing foods, which can nourish yin and the lungs, and also prevent dry mouth and tongue.

The aroma of tea is refreshing and pleasant, filling the elegant room with fragrance and calming the mind.
