The "equinox" in Autumn Equinox means equal division. During the Autumn Equinox, day and night, cold and heat, and yin and yang are all in equal proportion. After the Autumn Equinox, the nights gradually become longer and the weather turns cooler.

Autumn is a dry season with large temperature differences between day and night. Diet should focus on nourishing the lungs, generating fluids, and clearing dryness. Oolong tea is most suitable, as it is moderately warming without causing dryness or coldness.
