Tea and the Solar Terms

Tea Talk on the Solar Terms - White Dew

The "White Dew" solar term marks the beginning of cooler weather. During the day, the sun is still warm, but as the sun sets, the temperature drops rapidly. At night, the moisture in the air condenses into tiny water droplets when it cools, which adhere to metal, branches, leaves, or petals, appearing as white droplets. Especially when illuminated by the morning light, they appear even whiter and more flawless, hence the name "White Dew." In reality, it simply means that the weather has turned cooler.

During the White Dew season, the diet should focus on strengthening the spleen and moisturizing dryness. It is advisable to eat foods that are neutral in nature, sweet or sweet and warm in taste, and nutritious, easily digestible, and mildly nourishing foods.

Foods that nourish yin and moisten the lungs include pears, white fungus, lotus seeds, lotus root, honey, lilies, goji berries, radishes, and soy products.Eat more orange and yellow vegetables, such as pumpkin and corn.

With the crisp autumn air, it's recommended to spend more time outdoors to relax, exercise, and maintain a cheerful mood.
