Yuan Rong Tang, a premium high-mountain tea brand from Taiwan, has received further recognition. Their

Shih Chia tea 's Yuan Rong Tang, specializing in premium Taiwanese high-mountain teas, participated in the iTQi international flavor and quality assessment in Belgium this year, winning a two-star "Superior Taste Award" for its Gazebo series "Yu Ou Black Tea". This marks Yuan Rong Tang's second time receiving such high recognition, following its three-star awards in 2017 for the same series' "Bi Liu Oolong" and "Fang Gui Oolong".

Yuan Rong Rongtang General Manager Hsu Chia-jung stated that "Yu Ou Black Tea" was developed under the supervision of senior tea tasters. To satisfy discerning palates, Yuan Rong has changed its past practice of using a single black tea variety. Instead, it has carefully selected high-quality Taiwanese Ruby Black Tea, Taiwanese Assam Black Tea, and high-mountain black tea, among other specialty teas. Through meticulous blending and repeated cupping, the characteristics of various black teas have been integrated to create a unique blend with a distinctive ripe fruit aroma. The tea soup is thick and mellow, and the tea leaves are resistant to multiple infusions with a good water yield. Hot brewing results in a warm and mellow taste, while cold brewing offers an elegant aroma and a sweet and smooth taste. Due to its rich flavor, adding fresh milk creates a unique flavor profile. This is a distinctive tea with a unique character and versatile characteristics.

The Gazebo series aims to convey the unique cultural essence of Taiwan. From tea selection to packaging, everything is designed to convey classic local imagery of Taiwan. In the past, the light-scented tea "Bi Liu Oolong" and the ripe-scented tea "Fang Gui Oolong" both won awards. This year, the "Yu Ou Black Tea" successfully won a star, which once again proves that Yuan Rong Tang has excellent and unique capabilities in tea selection, tea making and blending. It strictly adheres to the highest standards of tea in terms of color, aroma, taste and shape, and fully demonstrates the fragrance, sweetness and charm of good Taiwanese tea.

The iTQi Best Flavor Award is comprised of 15 renowned European associations of culinary and wine experts. Food from around the world arrives in Brussels, Belgium, undergoes rigorous quality testing, and then is evaluated by expert judges through a blind taste test. Taiwanese tea's ability to consistently pass these tests and earn high praise from gourmets worldwide is a testament to Taiwan's pristine environment and the dedication of its tea farmers, tea makers, and tea tasters to creating a truly exceptional cup of tea. May this arduous journey of tea production continue to be steadfast, and may " Yuan Rong Tang" ultimately receive even more blessings, its international renown a source of pride for Taiwan.
